COOOOOREEE

Image not totally unrelated. Maaan, I am fighting a battle against something I used to do every damn day. This is entirely my own fault, but damn it I am going to win this war. Damn you "core" routine, you will be my bitch >: I

So this started because I didn't work out at all over Christmas/New Year. I thought that I'd just be able to get back in and keep goin from where I left off? How very wrong I was.

This is what is defeating me:
Stretches/Deep Stretches
Regular stretching routine plus some yoga mixed in, focus on breathing to relax any fatigue from previous day/general household work.

Warmup
Four songs of at least 3 mins length, the key is to start slowly and build up your movements until you're lightly perspiring and your heartrate has increased. It is totally okay to look like you're having some sort of fit at this point, you really need to concentrate on stretching and moving all the muscles you are going to work out.

Core 1
20 of each of the following:
Minicrunches (to get abs to work properly)
Twist Crunches
Push ups
Crunches
Slow Squats
Push Ups
Crunches
Slow Squats
Twist Crunches

Cardio 1
20 minutes of skipping (with rope)

Core 2
Sideways leg lifts (20 on each side)
Push ups
Crunches
Squats
Push ups
Crunches
Squats
Pass-the-pillow

Cardio 2/warm down
6 tracks of minimum 3 minutes in length, with a focus on really breaking a sweat and actually dancing not just waving your arms around in a wild spasm. Your heart rate should really be going at this point.

Cooldown/Stretches
keep moving, and use a further 2 tracks to cool down, make sure you shake out all the bits you exercised properly, and be sure to stretch them all again. At this point you should also rehydrate and take any protein supplements that you are using to accompany your workouts.

I cannot get past Cardio 1. I get to about 150 skips and DIE. If I'd have realised that 6 weeks of not working out at all or even really breaking a sweat could reduce my lung capacity by this much, I seriously would not have stopped. Ow.

So my goal for this week is to be able to do a full Core routine. This is just my monday exercise schedule, every day will be different although this will be the hardest and push me the farthest. So if I can't even do this, then I don't think I'll be able to get to my target weight/bulk for summer. I haven't even started taking the protein yet!

BLEH.

Plus pretty much all I can think about right now is sex. Which isn't helping.

Day 20: Late

Yesterday I only did a light workout, but today I did a full one, but I didn't get time to do the blog until just now, aaaaand now its time to sleep. I'll do two or three days fine and then have a day where its really difficult to work out, not because I am tired but because I just don't feel like it. This could be because results day for my recent hospital appointment is tomorrow, but it might not be. I dunno.

Bleh.

Today's workout was nearly the full one that I posted earlier, though I keep missing bits out, I am getting closer to having a perfect routine for my body. I have added a new kind of situp to the core section which will apparently flatten my abs more, and I have also added a cardio section to the weights using my lightest pair.

So theres progress being made :D

My flex pecs are getting a lot bigger, and its starting to show when I am not flexed, my tshirts drape now which is nice. My abs are also starting to show a little bit, theres still a reserve of fat on my stomach but when I am moving around and doing stuff the shadow of the pecs is starting to show through, my six pack should be perfectly symmetrical and quite large. Oh my.

Things are goin good towards the pride toplessness! Pictures in ten workout days! Woooo!

Day 18: (Part two) Baked Potato

With my newfound gymspiration I found that working out became more of a focused thing than a "hey I want to do this today because its fun and I like it". However I forgot to factor in the heat. Bleh! Apparently summer is going to be much hotter than our current heatwave, so I am going to start working out in the morning. Around about 9 - 10 am the house is still quite cool, and theres plenty of time to get hydrated and take a cool bath or shower.

Man.

I was so overheated I wasn't even able to complete a full workout session, I started getting cramps in my obliques so I had to stop early on my core workout and move onto the weights and final cardio. The cramps have gone now, but I seriously thought that I was going to pop like a sausage.

Speaking of I think its grilled food and salad tomorrow. Lush.
